COOP EXP PT -A&S 1

During my sophomore year, I participated in an online COOP experience class for my role as a Resident Advisor.

Over the course of the fall semester and my time in the COOP 1000 experiences, I have demonstrated my creativity skills through multiple informative bulletins, decorations, and community building events. These demonstrations have been channeled through my RA role, but through the COOP class, there were multiple reflection activities, resume building opportunities, and mock interviews to identify strengths and weaknesses. Overall, I've really enjoyed the COOP experience because it's helped me recognize what I need to work on to be successful in all my endeavors.

Resume

Crafting and refining my resume has been a journey of self-discovery. As I carefully selected and highlighted my accomplishments, I gained a clearer understanding of my professional identity. The process forced me to distill my experiences into impactful statements, emphasizing the skills and qualities that make me a strong candidate. This exercise not only improved my resume but also deepened my awareness of my strengths and areas for growth.

Interview

Participating in mock interviews has been an invaluable experience. It provided a safe space to refine my communication skills, articulate my achievements, and address potential weaknesses. Through constructive feedback, I learned to project confidence, convey my qualifications effectively, and handle unexpected questions with composure.

Goal Setting

The impactful experience of goal setting transcended the achievement of specific outcomes. It became a holistic journey of self-discovery, resilience, and empowerment. The lessons learned in this process continue to shape not just my goals but the very fabric of my approach to life, emphasizing the enduring value of intentional and thoughtful goal setting.
